He was there, just over the hill, she knew it. Why was he here when she had ask him for rest? He was going to have to explain himself. She would just march up to him and ask what he thought he was doing invading her sleep again after all that blather about it being her choice. She saw the ferris wheel and midway games, laid out before her like every other carnvial she had every been too. He was standing beside a group of men. As she walked up to him she could feel his confusion. What are you doing here? Excuse me? Can I help you? His voice was different, casual. You know this is my space, that i need the rest, that it was my choice. Now why are you here? I don;t understand. I am just having fun. Do I know you? Come on, she said grabbing his hand and tugging. I need to speak with you anyway. He followed her away from his friends. How do you know me ma'am? Stop it, quit trying to pretend you don't know everything going on here. But I really don't. He began. You just told me not even half an hour ago that this was all my choice and you couldn't help me with this. I think you are mistaking me for someone else. I am not. What is your name? What? Your name good sir? Oh. I'm Jack Davidson, pleasure to meet you. Davidson huh? I drink one shot of Jack Daniels and you use that to infiltrate my dreams, s**t. Why can't you just let me rest? Ma'am I don't know what you are going on about, and I have a feeling I don't want to know. On the off chance that you have simply gotten me mixed up with someone how about you give me your name? Jessie. Is all she said. Jessie. Well Jessie, how do you know me? You haunt me, daily. I see you everywhere I go, and you have never told me your name. So why now? Why do you act as though you do not know me and you have given me your name? I can't say I know you Jessie. I am sorry for that, you seem a little confused, is there someone I can get to help you? Stop it Jack, you know all of this. Now why are you here inside this dream? Inside a dream? Jessie do you feel okay? He was asking as she was fading. Jack, can you still hear me? Your voice, why is it not there? What is going on? He was confused now. She slowly disappeared from sight causing him to disappear in her minds eye. Abruptly she sat straight up. What the f**k? She whispered to herself. Jack Davidson? Jumping from her bed she ran out the door heading to the office. She had a name, one that might actually belong to her strange friend who wouldn't leave her alone. She slipped behind the desk coaxing the computer to life. She pulled up her search engine FactCat. Typing in his name she waited for results to click in place. His name was there, so many listings, Jack Davidson was a household name it appeared. She clicked on the first one, bringing up a buisness website. It was a family store supply chain, he was the CEO. Clicking through the various different items and products they offered gave Jessie a little insight as to who he was. It was the next click that caused her heart to flip. As she clicked on the staff link she saw him. He stood in front of a huge building alongside a woman and child, the caption said they were his wife and daughter. The child had bouncing red curls that fell softly on her shoulders, she must have been four at the time of the photo. What had really caught her eye was the wife, it was her, every inch of her stood right beside him in this photo. She looked happy, but who was this wearing her skin, and why was she not finding anything to tell her what he really is? Why was she there? Who was the little girl she was holding? So many new questions, and she was sure he would not be any help, but it was her, and him, there was finally a connection, one she was certain wasn't real, or was it? As She read the words it was sureal. Jack Davidson pictured here with his wife Jessica Davidson, and their four year old daughter Ruby. She couldn't believe her eyes. Clicking on the photo enlarged it so that she could see, it was her and him, but who was this beautiful little girl in her arms? It had been dated the summer before her aunt had passed away. She clicked away from the image, going to the companies information tab. This is where she found out they had been married for five years, and had built the company based on finding new healthier options for parents accross the country. They had decided to make better products once they became parents to a very special gifted daughter. Their daughter had many allergies to a multitude of items that were mainstays in every parents lives. They were looking to improve the world around them to make a better life for their family. As she researched the company, him, and their lives she came to realize that the company was still operating as usual. However, they were all listed as missing, since right after the photo was uploaded to the website. She had clicked many other links, finding that the case had grown cold, and there were no real clues as to what had happened or why. It seemed his brother Robert had taken over the company simply to keep it afloat while they were searching for the family. Their last known whereabouts were consistent with them heading out for a family outing one afternoon, just a month before aunt Nikki met her maker. What did this have to do with everything? How had she come to be at her aunts place such a short time after her whole family went missing, where were they now. She knew there were pieces missing, just not how they all fit together. Darkness? Yes, Jess? What happened here? I can't tell you, you will find out, you just have to put the pieces back together. Are you Jack? I am a small piece of him. He is who you made me from. Is he dead? I honestly don't know. I only know I am not really him, I am nothing more than a memory of him. Is she still alive? You are. Not me Darkness, our daughter, is she still alive? I do not know if either of them live Jess, I can only say I am sorry I can't help with this part. She is beautiful isn't she? No Jess, she is the most precious gem in the world, priceless. She felt his finger slide gently down her face, though she couldn't see him she could feel his love electrify the air around her. I have no idea what is going on here, but I will get to the bottom of this, and find our family again. I know you will, I plan on helping you figure out everything I can. She flashed to complete darkness loosing consiousness and slamming to the floor after falling from her chair. She had passed out from everything ravaging her senses. All control faded, she had blacked out. Faces floated in front of her. Hers, his, Ruby's, the boys from the woods, even their sister and her therapist. Everything was jumbled. Slowly her eyesight cleared. Once again she was in the woods. The boys still tied to the trees, bridge looming behind them. As she gazed at the image in front of her she could see Marianne once again hung upside down bloodless swinging gently in the breeze. Why was she seeing this? What did it mean in the scheme of things. It seemed pointless now that she realized her daughter and husband were missing. There was a small rustling noise in the bushes to her right. As she glanced that way she say the bushes begin to part. She made herself scarce so she could see who it was, and why they were here. Rick, Rob, come on guys, lets go fishing like we were supposed to. It was Tanya, she had somehow found this place, how? As Tanya entered the small clearing Jessie knew she couldn't allow her to leave, she would make it impossible to figure out what was really going on. Tanya had seen the first of her brothers tied to the tree, as she ran up she realized it was both of them. Jessie thought she might scream, suprisingly enough she didn't, tears were filling her eyes. No. Not like this, please. Tanya whispered softly to nobody. Why had she come out here all alone? Jessica watched her as she touched the cheeks of her brothers. I will kill whoever did this too you. Tanya growled intending to make a pact with her deceased siblings. As she looked towards the sky she caught glimpse of the bridge and the body hanging there. Marianne? Who the f**k got you? You were such a good twoshoes, why would they kill you? As Tanya walked towards the bridge to get a closer look Jess heard his voice, You aren't going to let her go are you? Her mind flashed as she saw the moon slide behind the clouds. No, she can't live, and doesn't deserve to either. Slipping from the bushes quietly Jess grabbed the rock she saw, it was just big enough to render Tanya unconsious, as she crept up behind her deftly she slammed the rock down hard on top of her skull. It felt great to feel her bones give slightly allowing for darkness to creep over Tanya. Watching she saw Tanya's body fall to the ground. She heard his low pitch chuckle. My turn. Not yet, I need to find out what she knows about all of this, she knows something about my family, ai have to know what she knows. Darkness scoffed. She deserves to die, that's all I need to know. She turned to him stopping him short, Oh she is going to die, but not before I get what I need. Darkness gazed in to her eyes knowing this was the begining of the end. She was either going to go crazy, or embrace it, either way it would be a blood soaked path from here on out. His evil smile danced accross his face meeting her smile across the smal space separating them.
