Chapter 10 – A New PlanHaving a car makes Petro very popular with the other girls and the Beetle is almost always full of fellow students when she goes to town. This means that she hears all the gossip in town and a particular piece of gossip draws her attention. Apparently the new librarian is a guy in his late twenties, the first time ever that the librarian is not an older woman. The girls all think that he may be gay as being a librarian is not a man’s job and he does not appear to have a girlfriend. This last piece of gossip is of particular interest to Petro.
