"Uh, no," Nina said, pondering the question herself. "I don't think so, anyway. Why'd you lie?""
"First thing that came to my mind," he said, shrugging. "You'll be calling her, don't worry. I do have a phone, and it works where we're going. Don't worry so much, I can feel it."
"Your power?" Nina asked, frowning.
"Yes," he said, looking at her with a frown. "Do you love him?"
"Um," Nina said, her heart pounding. Did she even need to answer?
His frown deepened and he looked away. "You can't be with him."
