Chapter 7: Shadows of Retaliation
The next few days were a whirlwind of preparation. The destruction of the Draconian base was a victory, but the team knew it would bring consequences. General Xyraak was not the type to take defeat lightly.

A New Threat Emerges
In the command center, Tommy gathered the team around the central console. The holographic map of the Earth displayed several areas glowing ominously.
“What are we looking at?” Liam asked, his arms crossed.
“Energy spikes,” Mira said, typing furiously on the console. “Similar to the ones we detected before finding the last base, but these are scattered across multiple locations.”
“Xyraak’s spreading his forces,” Sophia guessed. “He’s making sure we can’t focus on one area.”
Ethan frowned. “Divide and conquer. Classic strategy.”
Tommy nodded. “It means he’s preparing for something bigger. We need to split up and investigate each site before it’s too late.”

Mission Assignments
The group divided into smaller teams.
Team 1: Tommy, Kimberly, and Connor would investigate a site deep in the sss rainforest.
Team 2: Ethan, Mira, and Sophia would head to a remote mountain range in Asia.
Team 3: Liam would remain at the command center to monitor the missions and provide support.
“Stay in contact,” Tommy instructed. “And be ready to call in the Titans if necessary.”
---
Team 1: sss Rainforest
The thick canopy of the rainforest was suffocating, but Tommy’s determination kept them moving. The trio followed the signal to a clearing where an ancient temple stood, overgrown with vines and moss.
“This place gives me the creeps,” Kimberly said, her eyes scanning the area.
“Stay alert,” Tommy warned. “The signal’s coming from inside.”
As they entered the temple, the air grew colder. Connor’s hand hovered over his ring, ready to morph at a moment’s notice.
Suddenly, the ground trembled, and stone statues lining the walls came to life. Their eyes glowed red, and they moved with surprising speed.
“Morph!” Tommy shouted.
“Zodiac Taurus, energize!”
“Zodiac Capricorn, energize!”
“Zodiac Aries, energize!”
The three transformed into their knight forms and engaged the statues. Tommy’s hammer smashed through stone with ease, while Kimberly’s mace and Connor’s shield worked in tandem to protect and attack.
“These things just keep coming!” Connor yelled.
“We need to find the source,” Tommy said. “Kimberly, cover us!”
Kimberly nodded, holding off the statues while Tommy and Connor searched the temple.
In the central chamber, they found a glowing crystal similar to the one in the previous base. Tommy smashed it with his hammer, and the statues immediately crumbled to dust.
“That’s one down,” Tommy said, breathing heavily.

Team 2: Asian Mountains
Ethan, Mira, and Sophia climbed the steep mountain path, the cold wind biting at their faces.
“Why does the bad stuff always happen in the worst places?” Ethan grumbled.
“Focus,” Mira said, scanning the area. “The signal’s getting stronger.”
The team reached a cave entrance, where a low growl echoed from within.
“Of course,” Sophia muttered. “A monster lair.”
They entered cautiously, their path lit by the glow of their rings. Inside, they encountered a massive beast resembling a hybrid of a bear and a dragon, its eyes glowing with the same red energy as the crystal they’d seen before.
“Morph now!” Ethan ordered.
“Zodiac Leo, energize!”
“Zodiac Virgo, energize!”
“Zodiac Scorpio, energize!”
The beast roared and charged. Ethan’s lion-themed armor gave him the strength to hold it back, while Mira’s staff created barriers to protect them.
“Sophia, flank it!” Mira called.
Sophia nodded, her daggers striking the beast’s vulnerable sides. The fight was brutal, but together they managed to weaken the creature.
Mira spotted another crystal embedded in the cave wall. “That’s it! Destroy the crystal!”
Ethan leapt into the air, his sword glowing with fiery energy, and slashed through the crystal. The beast let out a final roar before disintegrating into ash.
“Two down,” Sophia said.

Team 3: Command Center
Back at the command center, Liam monitored both teams’ progress.
“Good work, everyone,” he said over the comms. “But we’ve got a problem. A new signal just popped up—stronger than the others. And it’s heading straight for you.”
“What kind of signal?” Tommy asked, his voice crackling through the comms.
“Something big,” Liam replied grimly. “It’s Xyraak.”
---
A Coordinated Attack
Before the teams could regroup, Xyraak appeared, accompanied by a massive, dragon-like creature. He attacked both locations simultaneously using portals.
Tommy’s team faced Xyraak himself in the temple, while Ethan’s team battled the dragon in the mountains.
“We need the Titans!” Tommy shouted.
“Zodiac Titans, arise!”
The Knights summoned their machines, their combined power lighting up the battlefield.
Tommy’s bull Titan clashed with Xyraak, their battle shaking the ground. Meanwhile, Ethan’s lion Titan led the charge against the dragon, with Mira and Sophia providing support.
---
The Ultra Titan Returns
Despite their best efforts, Xyraak and the dragon proved too powerful.
“Combine the Titans!” Tommy ordered.
The machines merged into the Ultra Titan, its immense power finally turning the tide. With a powerful blast of energy, the Ultra Titan forced Xyraak to retreat.
The dragon, weakened and enraged, was finally destroyed with a finishing blow from the Ultra Titan’s energy cannon.

Aftermath
Exhausted but victorious, the teams regrouped at the command center.
“We won,” Ethan said, collapsing into a chair.
“Barely,” Sophia added. “Xyraak’s getting stronger.”
Tommy nodded, his expression grim. “And so are we. But we need to be ready for whatever he throws at us next.”
The team exchanged determined looks, their bond stronger than ever.
“Let’s gear up,” Tommy said. “The real fight is just beginning.”
