2934 Words

The battlefield was a chaotic blur of snarling wolves and hissing vampires. The air was thick with the scent of blood and the acrid tang of fear. Every swing of his sword cut through our enemies with precision, but I could see the strain in his eyes, the weight of the battle wearing on him. Suddenly, a vicious howl pierced the air. I turned just in time to see a massive werewolf lunging at Luther from behind. My heart froze as I screamed his name, but the beast was too fast. It slammed into him, sending him sprawling to the ground. The sight of Luther, my king and protector, lying prone and vulnerable sent a bolt of terror through me. "No!" I shrieked, my voice drowned out by the din of battle.
