An urgent banging against the door woke me from my sleep. I groaned and glanced at the time. Three fifteen. I moaned, out loud, unappreciated that I had been woken up so rudely at such a late hour. I know these people were octurnal but didn’t they know I still need my beauty sleep? The banging rattled the door again. Guess not, I thought, biting back the urge to tell them to piss out. I grabbed my robe and hurried over to the door before swinging it open with obvious annoyment. “Someone had better been dying,” she growled.
