The hospital smelled like antiseptic and fear.
Victor had 3 stitches on his lip. A broken rib. Bruises everywhere.
And he was grinning like an i***t.
“Stop looking at me like that,” he said.
“How else should I look?” I snapped. “You almost died.”
“Almost,” Victor said. “But I didn’t. Because of you.”
The doctor left. “Baby is fine. 12 weeks. Heartbeat strong. Mom is healthy.”
Victor’s whole body relaxed.
He pulled me into the hospital bed with him. Careful of his ribs.
“You shifted,” he whispered. “After all these years.”
“I thought I was broken,” I said. “Wolf-less.”
“You’re the strongest wolf I’ve ever met,” Victor said. “You saved me.”
My phone buzzed. 100+ messages.
Pack group chat: `ALPHA IS ALIVE` `LUNA HAS A WOLF` `DAMIAN ON THE RUN`
It was over.
Two days later we went home.
To Victor’s real home. Not the mountain house. His pack house.
Guards everywhere. But this time, they weren’t hiding us.
They were protecting us.
That night, Victor took me to the roof.
Stars. Cold air. His jacket around me.
“I have something to ask you,” he said.
My heart stopped. “Again?”
He laughed. “Again.”
He got down on one knee. Right there.
“Luna. I’ve fought wars. I’ve killed men. I’ve run a pack.”
“But nothing scared me more than losing you.”
“Marry me. Not because of a contract. Not because of the baby.”
“Marry me because I love you. Because I want to wake up next to you for the next 100 years.”
Tears fell before I could stop them.
“Yes,” I whispered. “Yes.”
Victor picked me up and spun me. Even with broken ribs.
The whole pack cheered from below. They’d been watching.

One week later.
Wedding planning was chaos.
Dresses. Flowers. 200 guests.
But I didn’t care.
Because at night, Victor would lay his head on my stomach.
“Hey little wolf,” he’d say. “Your mom and I are getting married.”
And I’d feel it.
Another kick.
Our baby was excited too.
The doctor said 6 months to go.
6 months until we’re a family.
6 months until Damian pays for everything he did.
They still hadn’t caught him.
But Victor said: “Let him run. Let him be scared for once.”
For the first time in my life, I wasn’t scared.
I was home.
I was loved.
I was an Alpha’s Luna.
And I had a wolf.
