Wedding planning was hell.
Who knew picking flowers could start a war?
“White roses,” I said.
“No,” said Victor’s mom. “Peonies. They’re classic.”
“Actually,” said his sister, “sunflowers. For the baby.”
I was 13 weeks pregnant and already tired.
Victor pulled me out of the room. “Come on. Dress shopping.”
“Finally,” I said. “Something fun.”
We went to the best boutique in the city. Private. Guards outside.
The consultant brought out dress after dress.
Too tight. Too poofy. Too much.
Then she pulled out *the one*.
White. Simple. Flowing. With lace on the sleeves.
It had space for a baby bump.
I put it on and cried.
Victor was waiting outside. When I walked out, his mouth dropped.
“You look...” he couldn’t finish.
“Beautiful?” I offered.
“Like mine,” he said. “You look like you’re supposed to be mine.”
We bought it.
---
That night, another letter came.
No stamp. Just slipped under the door.
Inside: a photo of me in the dress. From today.
On the back: `You think this is over? It’s just starting. -D`
Victor went still. Then he crumpled the photo.
“He’s watching us,” he said. “Even here.”
“Let him watch,” I said. I was done being scared.
“My wolf is awake now. And I’m not hiding anymore.”
Victor looked at me. Proud. “That’s my Luna.”
He kissed me. Slow. Deep.
“We’re getting married in 3 weeks,” he whispered. “With or without him.”
The next morning, training started.
Victor stood in the backyard. “Your wolf is strong. But wild. You need control.”
For 2 hours he taught me. How to shift faster. How to fight. How to protect myself.
And the baby.
By the end, I was sore and sweaty and happy.
“Again tomorrow?” I asked.
“Every day until the wedding,” Victor said. “I want you to be ready for anything.”
That night I felt the baby kick 4 times.
I think she liked watching her parents train.

3 weeks to go.
Invitations sent. 300 guests.
Alpha from other packs coming.
And somewhere out there, Damian was watching.
But this time, we were ready.
Victor held me at night and said: “Whatever happens, we face it together.”
“Together,” I agreed.
The wedding was coming.
And so was the final fight.
