A call to the morgue after they left the Bankses established that the post-mortem was still in progress, and that there would be at least another hour and a half before the preliminary report would be ready.
Since that was the case, Nathan and Burke returned to the station so they could check on the progress being made with the various assignments that had been dished out that morning.
