Chapter 12
-Anastasia’s POV-
“Please, I want to see my friend Farisa,” I begged the doctor who stood beside me to check something on his notepad.
He sighed. “Sorry, kid. Our Alpha just said….”
“But I won’t get a good rest until you allow me to see her!”
I couldn’t let Farisa take on everything. I should be the one to blame. She was innocent.
It was I who decided to take those pills and it was also I who took two of them. She tried to stop me, but I ignored her.
I pulled up the IV line and stood up. I had to tell Alpha Aiden that it was all my fault!
But then I fell down on the bed, feeling dizzy.
“Was that your way to take care of your patient?” Alpha Aiden rushed inside after he heard the noise and couldn’t hold back his anger at the doctor.
I bit my lips, which reminded me of what I did to him, and lifted up my head, “Please, Farisa didn’t do anything wrong.”
I didn’t know why the Alpha got pissed off when I passed out and got out of the bed. But I had a feeling that he would do anything for me if I wanted… Weird.
“Nobody has done so much like him before.” Amy sniffed and wagged her tail slowly in my mind. She was right. That was the most weird thing.
“Tell me everything. Why did you take the pills?” His blue eyes were so intriguing that I almost told him why.
I couldn’t shift. How could I tell you this?
“Don’t stare into his eyes Anastasia!” Amy’s voice woke me from the loss.
“I….” I clenched my teeth and stuttered, “I didn’t want to join in the pack training.” To some extent, it was the truth.
Ajax came in too. His eyebrows drew in together. He didn’t know I couldn’t shift. I’ve never told him. It’s strange. He was my brother but now he could tell nothing to the Alpha.
I made him embarrassed, I guessed.
“That’s it? You think I’m gonna believe what you said?” Alpha Aiden was on the verge of fury. I cowered and backed off, but he grabbed my hands. “Bullshi*t!” His eyes were full of anger. “You poisoned yourself just to avoid the pack training?”
His hands tightened and I couldn’t help but scream in pain.
He let go of me. But the next moment he spat an order which froze me. “From now on, you train with me. I will teach you how to be a good warrior.”
Ajax raised his eyebrows. He didn’t expect that. But apparently, he was not against the decision.
“What?” I couldn’t train with him! I wouldn’t keep my secret!
“You want to skip the training, huh? Then I will double it for you! That is the cost you have to pay for your lame excuses!” Alpha Aiden smirked dangerously.
“And you move to the pack house and live with your brother and me.” He calmed down and said so before he walked out of the room. Ajax gave me a blank stare and caught up with him.
How would I live with them? My secret would be given away! I’m gonna die!

Once I was done with the dripping, Ajax pulled me out of the bed and threw me into his jeep. Yeah, typically him.
But I froze when I saw Alpha Aiden sitting on the front seat without looking back. Then Ajax jumped on the jeep and drove us to the pack house.
I tried to change the direction of my destiny. “Well… my stuff is at Farisa’s home.”
Alpha Aiden peeked at me. I saw that from the mirror. Suddenly I had no intention to continue.
“You don’t have to worry about that. I will pack up for you after dropping you at the pack house.” Ajax sniffed and I saw a small curve appearing on his face.
Gee! My brother smiled!
I thought he would never smile and he may be a stone in essence. But he did smile! Though he smiled because of my stupidity…
I stuck my tongue out at him but then behaved well on the rear seat when I saw Alpha Aiden’s head tilted to my direction.
Oops. Why was he always paying attention to me?
“Woah, the alpha seems to have a thing for ya! Good for you, girl!” Amy said in a sing song voice happily and she was wagging her tail like a husky…What a stupid wolf!
I clenched my teeth trying not to be noticed that I was quarrelling with my wolf. They two didn’t know I had a wolf instead of being a real wolf-less girl.
The secret should not be found.
The vehicle stopped in front of a red and whie brick house. The house looked common just as other buildings. It would be a bit surprising if you told someone that it was the pack house.
Was Alpha Aiden living a simple life?
“Anastasia.” Suddenly the Alpha’s voice rang out from behind me. I quickly turned around and saw him smiling at me. His anger had gone and now he was playing the gentleman role.
Strange man.
“Yes.” I became the ‘yes girl’ again. But what else should I say?
“Train with me.” He smirked.
“Now?” My mouth gaped. How could he ask me who just was released from the hospital to train with him? He was an alpha while I was a patient!
Why did he do this to me??
“Oh s**t, you will be screwed up.” Amy said in a happy tone which made me want to drag her out of my mind and punch her to death.
“Shut up, stupid wolf!” I almost yelled out at the air but I quickly covered my mouth before Alpha Aiden could find it out.
I must look like a psycho when quarreling with Amy.
“Why are your thoughts wandering? You must be confident about yourself.” Alpha Aiden turned around when we arrived at the backyard and smirked.
Shoot. I was definitely gonna die.
