15. I will be stronger

-Anastasia’s POV- I sighed when I was reminded of the fact that I was at the packhouse after I glanced around. Was Stacy really an i***t? It’s the packhouse! She just ignored the fact that the Alpha and the beta lived there but she continued yelling. I let go of Amy who started to speak as soon as she was released. “Don’t worry. Alpha Aiden will never tolerate someone so disrespectful to him. No matter who she has behind her. But you can’t beat her up now. It’s not training.” “Yeah you are damn right.” I sniffed. “Quiet.” Alpha Aiden walked to the first floor. From the corner I stood, I could look down and saw his eyebrows furrowed. “Why are you shouting in the packhouse, Stacy?” Apparently, the alpha got annoyed about Stacy’s behaviour.  “Sorry, alpha…I didn’t expect…” Stacy stuttered with her fingers fumbling.  “You didn’t expect me here?” He chuckled. “...I saw Beta Ajax’s car on my way here…So…” She bowed her head. I couldn’t see her face clearly but I bet she must be nervous. “So you think I am with him? Neither of us will show up at the packhouse so you can do whatever you want here?” Alpha Aiden crossed his arms in front of his chest and shook his head. “Stacy, watch your tongue.” Alpha Aiden sighed and then turned around as if nothing happened…Wait, why did he forgive her so easily? Just because she had a thing for him? Nonsense! I quickly went into my room to avoid seeing him on his way to his own room. To my surprise, he went to the room next to me and shut the door… Was I living next to the alpha’s room??? Why didn’t Ajax tell me this? Oh, shoot. I shouldn’t expect him to tell me everything. Biting my lips, I opened the door and noticed the door of the alpha’s room shut. Just when I was gazing at the door, thinking about how to move out without causing any trouble, Stacy’s voice sounded behind me. “You little Bitc*h!” She stomped directly to me and grabbed my hair from behind. For a moment I couldn’t move because my hair was in her hands. “Let me go!” Was she crazy? We were fighting in front of the alpha’s bedroom! I lowered my voice in order not to see Alpha Aiden again. The silly Stacy was apparently aware of the alpha in the room and dragged my hair, forcing me to come with her. “Are you crazy?” I held my hair to loosen the tight grip, but Stacy couldn’t let me go. She made me follow her to the yard and then she threw me onto the ground.  “Finally, the crazy b***h let go of me.” Grabbing my hair, I thought. “I will beat her up for you one day!” Amy popped out and growled in anger. She was desperately eager to give her a lesson, but in fact…she couldn’t. I sighed, “It’s okay, Amy. I will be stronger enough to protect myself.” “How dare you? You are tuned out in front of me??” Stacy’s sharp voice woke me up from the talk with Amy. “So what? Don’t forget you are in the packhouse. Any trouble you cause will bring you a bigger one later.” I smirked. I bet she didn’t dare to provoke the alpha who just scolded her. “Don’t you know that I am the one Alpha Aiden will never punish?” Stacy suddenly gave me a creepy smile. I shuddered because all of a sudden I was reminded of her background. Her father was the last Beta. Her grandfather was one of the Elders who controlled the mysterious committee…Well, she indeed had the right to do whatever she wanted.  “So…what do you want?” Once I understood my situation, I calmed down. What else did she want? The stupid teenage girl would always want every woman away from her alpha.  Stupid. She was not in the position to decide who the Luna was. Only the alpha had the right. “Don’t you understand who you are talking to?” Stacy grabbed my chin forcing me to look up to her. We were so close that I could see the anger firing in her eyes just like the color of her hair. “Stay away from Alpha Aiden! He is mine!” She hissed in my ears, cursing me shudder. What could drive a girl crazy? Love? “How dare you move in with him? Just because you have a Beta brother?” Her hand tightened. I thought my chin was bruised. “It’s not my decision…” I managed to speak through my gritted teeth. I would beat her up if I were not delta. But…the hierarchy was everything. I didn’t want to draw attention to myself by beating her to death. I just wanted to live a normal life. “Anyway, you move in with the alpha. That’s the truth.” Stacy chuckled but her laugh only made me feel cold inside. “Just chase him in any way. I won’t be in your way.” My fists clenched, anger suddenly filled up my chest. I didn’t know where it came from. Weird. Her lips curved and she threw me onto the ground again before she left.  I didn’t care where she was going. To find the alpha? Or to tell her b***h friends what she had done to me?  None of my business. I wiped out my chin, trying to erase the bruise caused by Stacy, but I couldn’t. Looking at the mirror, I thought the bruise was teasing me. It reminded me of what I had endured just because I was Delta and because I was a useless she-wolf. And I felt there was another reason behind my anger. But I couldn’t figure it out. I would never forget what I had been through.
