MADELINE'S POV -- Sweat runs down my back, causing the material of my shirt to stick to my skin. I huff out a breath as I drop to the floor, swiping my foot out to send Atlas flying, but he merely hops over my leg, his smile bright, eyes glinting with victory. I raise to my feet, halfway panting as my bicep burns. I switch the sword to the other hand, the tips of my fingers already calloused from how hard I'm gripping the sword. "Have you deigned to admit defeat?" Those grey eyes shimmer with glee. "If you think I'm tired, you're wrong," Because I'm not tired, I'm exhausted, but there's no way in hell that I will let him win this. I will win. I'm not going to give up. "We'll see in about five minutes," His eyes glow differently, more sinister, more manipulative as he brings his sword
