Chapter 12: Class Reunion

Many years have passed, and Ryan Haydn no longer remembers his high school classmates.
He didn't like class reunions, and this time, he had important matters to attend to in Heapeka City besides resting, so he shook his head and said to Renee, "I won't go, you have fun by yourself."
"Oh... alright."
Renee felt very disappointed, and when Ryan saw this, he rubbed her head to make her feel a little better.
After dinner, Ryan chatted with Rory about their experiences over the years while drinking, and he stayed until the old man fell asleep before returning to his room.
In the room, Ryan stood with his hands behind his back, looking at the scenery outside the window, and asked in a deep voice, "How is the investigation going for that matter?"
"There are no leads for now, but based on the clues I've obtained, the target has appeared in Heapeka City before, seemingly related to the members of the Top Four Families. Should we go and find them one by one?"
"No rush, the deadline of a month is approaching. Let them apologize before my mother's grave and apologize. Tomorrow, you'll come with me."
"Yes sir!"
The night passed quietly, and the next morning, Ryan left the house with Jay.
Renee excitedly knocked on Ryan's bedroom door, but found it empty, feeling even more disappointed.
At noon, when it was time for the scheduled reunion, Renee Haydn took a taxi and headed to the meeting location. She had even bought several beautiful clothes that she used to not even dare to look at the prices before.
The car stopped at the entrance of Oak Bar, and Renee got out of the car.
A young man at the entrance brightened up and approached her, looking her up and down several times before tentatively asking, "Are you... Renee Haydn?"
"Hey! Gary Hamilton. It's me! What's wrong, can't recognize me?"
Renee proudly spun around. She was wearing a knee-length dress with pale yellow floral patterns. Although it wasn't a luxury brand, it was still a world-renowned brand, and its professional design perfectly showcased her beautiful figure.
Gary Hamilton couldn't take his eyes off her.
His girlfriend, Novia Delia, noticed and pinched him hard, snapping him out of it.
Novia and Gary were both classmates of Renee Haydn. After graduating, they ended up together by coincidence, and their relationship was decent. However, Gary was unreliable. Whenever they were walking on the street, his eyes were always fixed on pretty girls, which annoyed Novia Delia.
"Nice outfit, how much did you rent it for?" Novia asked disdainfully.
"Novia, what are you saying!" Gary Hamilton criticized.
Renee felt embarrassed, "No, I didn't rent it..."
"Tsk, if you could afford clothes like this, would you still take a taxi? I've seen the price of this dress, 5,000 dollars. I can only look at it, let alone you. I know about your family situation, don't pretend." Novia attacked Renee because she wasn't as pretty as Renee. And just because her boyfriend couldn't help but stare at beautiful girls when they were out on the street, Novia felt unhappy.
"You should keep your mouth shut!" Gary pulled Novia behind him and awkwardly said to Renee, "Let's go inside, everyone's already here. Liz Philip specially asked us to come and pick you up, afraid that you wouldn't find the room."
"I have good news for you! We're not going Dutch today, it's Liz Philip's boyfriend's treat!"
Novia didn't say anything more, but seeing her boyfriend being so attentive to another woman, how could her mood be good? She glared at Renee Haydn.
With Gary and Novia in front, Renee walked awkwardly behind, full of regret.
If she had known that wearing such a beautiful dress would make her feel so awkward, she wouldn't have bought it.
On the third floor, Gary Hamilton said as he walked, "Renee, Liz Philip's boyfriend is a rich second-generation kid, a young master! When you meet him later, be polite. Today we can be in the VIP room, all thanks to Leo Wilde's connections."
"Yeah... I know," Renee Haydn obediently replied.
She had heard from Liz Philip that Leo Wilde was Ryan's classmate. With just that, she couldn't disrespect him. She had a favorable impression of anyone related to Ryan.
The room door opened, and Gary Hamilton shouted, "I've brought our class beauty, Renee, everyone!"
With a single shout, he attracted everyone's attention.
At this moment, when Renee Haydn made her appearance, everyone was stunned.
Especially the two people sitting in the front, Liz Philip and Leo Wilde.
Leo was shocked by how beautiful Renee was, while his girlfriend Liz could not believe Renee's attire.
She had brought Renee here specifically to show off and not for any other reason.
During their time in school, Liz Philip was slightly inferior to Renee in terms of grades and beauty, and for three years in high school, she felt frustrated.
After graduating, Liz flourished in society with her beauty and even attached herself to Leo Wilde, who was a rich man. She suddenly entered a life of luxury, wearing high-end clothing and consuming top-tier products.

A while ago, she heard that Renee caught the attention of Young Master Collins. Liz Philip thought she would be left behind again, but yesterday she suddenly received news that the wedding was disrupted by her brother. She was so happy inside.
Today, she specifically asked Renee to come over, and she specifically had her bring her brother Ryan, just to mock them.
She didn't expect that Renee would show up today wearing a very high-end outfit, dazzling and blinding her eyes.
The room was silent, everyone stared at Renee Haydn, unable to say a word, until Renee awkwardly cleared her throat and blushed as she lowered her head. Only then did everyone come to their senses.

Everybody praised her.
"Oh! I got married too early!"
A married classmate who came by exaggeratedly stomped his feet and beat his chest, looking regretful.
"Shut up, you've been single for a hundred years, and Renee wouldn't even look at someone like you... I recorded the embarrassing way you just acted, and I'll send it to your wife later!"
"Have mercy! Please, don't send it! If you do, I'll be torn apart by her when I go back!"
"Hah!" Everyone burst into laughter.
Before Renee arrived, everyone surrounded Leo Wilde and Liz Philip, complimenting and congratulating them, being very polite.
Because of Renee, the atmosphere suddenly became lively, as if everyone had returned to their school days, and conversations finally loosened up.
Liz Philip felt uncomfortable in her heart.
"Renee, where's your brother? Isn't he with you?"
Leo Wilde had long heard about Ryan from Liz and knew that Renee was his sister. He took the initiative to ask and even moved aside on the sofa, saying to Renee, "Come, sit here!"
Liz's face turned even darker, and she felt a sense of crisis inside.
