Episode 11 His Angel Logan

The day before his wedding all Logan could think about was all the things that could possibly go wrong, with Emily I'm town Logan knew he couldn't leave anything to chance. He had to attend his bachelor party in a few hours but till then he has some business to take care of. Logam left the penthouse and went to office for an off books meeting with a retired CIA operative who now owns a private security firm, he needed to make sure he has security that blends in at the wedding and that all of them know Emily's face and not let her within 10 feet of the venue. Logan had a lot to lose and needed to play his cards right because even though being on the ofensive is a good move but playing with Emily means you have to make calculated moves or you're screwed. "Hey man I'm glad you could come at such short notice, I just need one this for your guy to keep this girl out" Logan said holding a pictures of Emily. "Make sure she doesn't get anywhere near the wedding venue, use facial recognition on every guest if necessary but this wedding has to without a hitch", Riley Mitchell the owner of the security firm nodded while listening to Logan talk his ear off, he wasn't a guy of many words "I got it Mr Rexford, will make sure to take every precaution to keep her away from your wedding". After Riley left Logan didnt feel any different than he did before in fact he felt like Emily might retaliate for keeping her out, he just had to get ready to do damage control if needed.

A little later around six in the evening Logan left the office and went straight to the hotel room his buddies had booked for the bachelor party, he was in his car when he got a car from Mia driver saying he can't find her "How exactly did you lose my fiance?" Logan said through gritted teeth. The driver on the other side of the phones sounded a little shaken "I didn't lose her, I didn't even know she was leaving, she never told me to pull the car around. The door man says she hailed a cab and took off, this appointment was not on her schedule so I had no idea she intended on leaving before he bachelorette party". Logan took a breath in and out "Its fine I'll call her, just stay put ok", Logan hung up and dialed Paul Sutton "Hey Paulie my man I need another favour, Mia has gone M.I.A and the driver can't get hold of her think you can track her phone?". Paul chuckled "Afraid she might back out of the wedding? I'm running her co-ordinates right now. Damn you will not believe it, according to this he cell phone has been at your penthouse most of the day so it's either she forgot her phone or really doesnt want to be found" Pual said. Logan sighed "Paul man you always see things we can't so tell me, do you think Mia is up to something? Because I have had this unsettling feeling for a while now. After Emily showed up at the penthouse I expected Mia to be constantly bringing that s**t up or something but I got nothing, I mean she asked like twice but when I dismissed it she let it go that easily something's not right. I've known that girl for the better part of mine and she never let's s**t go that easily, Paul I need you to monitor her and keep this between us I'd rather Hunter and Christian not know." Paul replied "Yeah sure I can do that, but since she is smart enough to leave her phone behind I'd suggest you visit the jeweller and get some extra things installed in that ring before you go to that party.", Paul was right that was the only way Mia would never suspect she was being tracked but let's hope it doesnt come back to him in the ass.

Logan told his driver to drive to the jeweler who made Mia's wedding band, it is simpler than the engagement ring but has diamonds all around, he got the jeweler to put a small tracking chip under one of the diamonds unfortunately that meant he had to come pick up the rings the following day. Logan headed to the bachelor a little more relaxed than he was earlier, he wasn't in the mood to party especially with the impending doom but he had to keep up a front and appear to be perfectly happy. When he got there the guys had set up some gaming tables for poker and other games, there were a few exotic dancers, cognac, cigars and chips being passed around, the party was in full swing and got even noisier when Logan finally showed up. "Hey man we were worried you decided to to stay home and shave your girls legs" one of the guys made a joke "don't worry you'll have the rest of your life to hold her handbag while she tries on clothes or pee" everyone was laughing and Logan started to enjoying himself a little. The night was shorter than he thought buy it was still good, Hunter decided to present his son with a wedding gif, he handed him the keys to a new superyacht that wasn't even available to be bought by the public yet but his dad knew people that could make things happen. Logan was genuinely happy and thought about all the great times he and Mia would have on there, making love on the bed, on the deck, in the pool, the kitchen table, they would do it everywhere and make sure to leave their mark on every piece of furniture in the place. All Logan could think about these days was her, even when facing a threat she was on the forefront of his mind it was like he was losing his mind. Logan shook himself out of his funk and had some well deserved fun.

In the morning Logan and his groomsmen went to the hotel near the church to get ready for the wedding, the ladies were getting ready at the church and he didn't want to risk running into Mia before they met at the altar. His sister Macy was waiting in the lobby when he got there and he immediately felt his panic rise "Macy what are you doing he? Is everything alright? Is Emilia alright?" Macy chuckled at his obvious panic and said "Mia is fine and yes everything is fine, I just thought I'd stop by to make sure you boys are on time you don't wanna keep your bride waiting. And I came to show you this" Macy held out a medium sized jewelry box and inside was a blue hair clip from a Victorian era, Logan had given his credit card to her and asked she get something special for Mia for their wedding and it was perfect just like her. Mia always had a love for vintage things and even though this was not vintage it sure looked it and it was perfect for her to pass down to their daughter one day. Logan smiled at his sister and remembered how well Macy knew Mia "Thank you sis this is perfect, I'd like you to be the one to give it to her with my mom by your side of course she will appreciate it", Macy smiled at her brother "I'm just glad you finally came to your sense and realised Mia was the one, I knew from the day we met her that she was made for you I guess it just took you longer to figure it out and I'm happy you have." There was a moment of silence and Logan said "thanks for this and I guess I should listen to you more often but I always knew in my heart that it's always been her, I just needed her to realise it as well but by the look on your face i take it she has always known too". Logan had never been this happy even when he was secretly married to Emily, at some point he did love her but Mia was never too far from his thoughts and because of that he could never allow himself to love someone else whole heartedly "Well we better get this show on the road but before I leave it goes without saying that Mia has always been like a sister to me and I will kick your ass into the next century if you ever do anything to hurt her" they both laughed at her declaration but Logan wouldn't have it any other way.

Logan and the boys got the church around 10 in the morning, they were a little early and Logan was very anxious. He stood at the altar waiting for the wedding to start, he couldn't believe that the day had finally come for him to marry the love of his life. Logan may have made is seem as though he was marrying Mia because of the agreement but in truth he wouldn't have it any other way, he has always been crazy about her. Logan started feeling a little more anxious when he was told Mia was running a little late "Hey bro I don't want you to panic but Mia is running a little late, she is not having second thoughts or anything it's just a woman thing or at least that's what Alex said" Christoan said to Logan. Logan tried to keep his mind occupied by thinking about all the places he planned to take Mia for their honeymoon, he planned a trip that starts with going to Zambia, Mia has always had a thing for waterfalls si he thought that would be perfect, then they would go to the Cayman Islands and relax in the sun and see the ocean then off to Macau and enjoy the nightlife, Miahas always been good at poker so he thought it would be fun then finish off the trip in the Bahams on the private Island he just bought her. Logan was jolted out his head by the sound of the piano and singer, when he lifted his head he thought he saw an angel. Mia was the most beautiful creature he had ever seen, it was like a dream and she looked like a vision in white. For the first time in a long time he had hope that maybe things will work out just fine and he muttered to himself that "maybe there is God after all"
