Watching Gemma trigger her vampire side was both terrifying and breathtaking.
She looked like a goddess wrapped in silver and crimson light. Power poured from her body in waves so strong even our wolves reacted to it.
She was beautiful.
Deadly.
Untouchable.
And now… completely out of control.
I was furious with Maggie for not warning us properly. She never told us Gemma’s wolf could awaken early, and she definitely never mentioned the possibility of Gemma becoming a heartless vampire with her emotions switched off.
We were completely blindsided.
One moment, Gemma was scared and hesitant.

She was draining innocent people without remorse.
