Sam and I had been trying for hours to come up with some kind of plan, but every idea felt impossible. My head was pounding from stress, and my dragon was becoming restless with every second Gemma stayed trapped.
I decided to head back to the pack house alone. Gemma once mentioned an old spell book hidden in Alpha Jayden’s office, and right now, I was desperate enough to search through every damn page if it meant saving my sister.
I sat behind Jayden’s desk with Beta Nathan nearby while old books, scrolls, and papers covered almost every inch of the office. Dust filled the air as I flipped through another useless page.
Nothing.
No spell. No answers. No hope.
A knock suddenly sounded at the office door.
