I couldn't help but strongly kicked my car tire out of frustration. I had searched for Jianci in all the places and among all the people she might have gone to but I couldn't find her. My fear grew even stronger. What if she left home because of what I did and never showed up to me again? I remembered once before, I couldn't find her anywhere because she was mad at me. I had felt the same intense fear back then. I didn't want her to suddenly disappear again. It was a relief that she didn't leave.
