“Io, wake up.”
Io stirred from her sleep and slowly opened her eyes, blinking in the process as she was blinded for a few seconds by the sunlight that peaked on the curtains. She rubbed her eyes to get rid of the still sleepy feeling.
And there she was, Rylai.
She was sitting at the edge of the bed and staring lovingly at Io.
Io’s tears escaped on their own without even making a warning, Rylai wiped them for her and cupped her cheeks. She gave Io’s nose a peck then smiled the sweetest at her.
“Good morning sleeping beauty. I thought the princess still needs a kiss from the prince before she wakes up though there’s no prince here but a princess. I personally think that another princess is not a bad substitute. Although, it’s such a shame that I didn’t have the chance to do that.”
