Aurora's paws carried her farther away from the pack's territory, the silence of the forest a balm to her wounded heart. She had no destination in mind, only a need to escape the pain and rejection. As the sun began to set, casting a warm orange glow over the landscape, Aurora caught a whiff of something unusual.

A scent that didn't belong.

She followed the scent, her curiosity piqued. It led her to a clearing, where a stranger stood, his eyes fixed on her. Aurora's hackles rose, her instincts on high alert.

The stranger didn't seem threatening, but she couldn't shake off the feeling that he was hiding something. He was tall, with piercing blue eyes and jet-black hair that fell to his shoulders. His smile was warm and inviting, but Aurora's guard remained up.

"Who are you?" Aurora asked, her voice low and cautious.

"I'm Aurora," she said finally.
