Stolen Kiss

Amara I woke up. I noticed a white ceiling above me. My body felt sore and numb for a while. I lifted my hands and noticed I was wearing cream velvet clothes, so soft and gentle to my skin. My memory is still a bit blurry. Eventually, reality crept in. My mind still urges me to seek answers. I found myself lying on a fancy king-sized bed, next to me Alpha Gonzalo, still sleeping like frozen butter—both of us wearing silk pajamas. Where am I? Who brought us here? What happened to Eddie? What kind of games am I playing this time? It’s only been a day since I met Gonzalo and my life has already taken such a drastic turn. Such a luxurious room. I went to the wall facing us—it’s made of thick glass. Again, I’m captivated by the beauty of the place. It seems that we’re on a massive island. Muffled sounds. Someone’s downstairs. Curious like I’ve always been, I went out of the room. The architecture of the hallways—similar to the mansions I can only see in movies. I went down the long fancy glass staircase. With every step I took, fear escalated inside of me. I reached the living room, there was another man—he was also gazing at the ocean view through the glass walls. He’s tall, well-proportioned. Similar to Gonzalo, he’s undoubtedly a gifted man. A few notable differences between them: the new man is way taller and bulkier; he’s also really pale and has clean-cut ash-blonde hair. The man’s wearing a tight polo shirt that highlights his chiseled muscular body. His sleeves are folded, exposing his cool tattoos. He was holding a glass with what appeared to be an iron red liquid. “So, you’re finally awake? Amara. Or should I say, Luna Amara?” He subtly chuckled. “Who are you? Where am I?” He turned. Dear heavens! Another charmer faces me! He’s a sight to behold; he also looks like a demi-god. And he's got a set of rare piercing eyes—they are purple. “Is that how you greet the one that saved you and your disgusting dog? Honestly, me carrying you was never a problem, but that werewolf? He really stinks.” He smirked, “although you probably wouldn’t notice that because you’re cursed with a human nose.” I paused, had my eyebrows knit. “Where’s Eddie?” “Oh, I’m sorry for your loss.” My mind is quickly struck with an unexplained burst of emotions. “What!?” “He’s at the castle now. At least, his body. Tsk. What a foul way to go.” He sounded pretentious—he’s acting like he cares, “his service to the cause will never be forgotten.” “Can I at least see him?” He walked slowly towards me and upon reaching me, he held my chin. His touch feels so cold. His scent is very alluring. We locked eyes, his fingers brushed my hair. The tension exploded inside of me. It’s so intense. He leaned his head to one of my ears, “unfortunately, I can’t let you. My only job here is to keep you safe.” He leaned back, “Obviously, my presence here is way too valuable. I was tasked by my parents to be a mere guard for the two of you. I was against it, especially because I don’t want anything to do with that filthy dog, but with a beautiful maiden like you? I guess this isn’t so bad after all.” I have so many questions. I’m so desperate for clarity. Then. While I was busy getting my mind lost in thought, a cold feeling pressed on my lips. It’s the pale charmer—from me, he stole a kiss.
