I had been able to control my anger even though my contempt for Luke kept lingering and trying to take control of me.
I didn’t think I was going to still find him at the site, that was the reason why I had to send someone to stand in for me, knowing that he was going to be there.
When I didn’t see him at the company, I believed that Charles must have done what I asked him to do, and that was a relief until I saw him.
I thought I was going to walk away eventually and avoid him, but he got on my nerves with his persistent annoyance, forcing me to land a heavy slap on his right cheek.
