As soon as Fred walked away from me, I decided that I was going to go home since it was already past the time for the close of work. We had to stay a bit longer because of how serious the construction had become, and the fact that some of the workers needed to be monitored closely.
Luke wanted to speak to me, but I made sure that I didn’t give him the chance to even get close to him. All he could do was stare at me while I walked away.
I knew that I could meet Fred at the party that night, but I decided that all I needed to do was act as though I didn’t see him at the party.
I had agreed to go to the party because Briana pleaded with me to, but I wasn’t sure I was prepared if there was going to be any form of drama.
