Chapter Nine Tasha drove through the southeast part of town for over an hour. She was looking for Darius, and so far, he’d been hard to find. She stopped for a traffic light, and almost immediately, a young teenage girl tapped on the glass at her window. As soon as the glass went down, the girl said, “Go to Baxter and 10th Avenue. Wait in the car.” Turning, the teen went back across the street and down the sidewalk without looking back. Continuing through the intersection, Tasha drove three blocks until she was at the designated corner. She pulled up along the curb and waited, wondering what Darius’ reaction would be.
