For several hours, Ella showed me various things she does regarding her artwork. Surprisingly, about half of the work was not related to painting at all. She showed me how she has to conduct meetings with museums and galleries to showcase her work. Also, she showed me how she markets and sells not only copies of her books but individual art pieces as well. “I am surprised that you are an independent contractor. Why not go with an agent for the marketing and meetings?” I asked as I overlooked her schedule for the following month.
