I jumped in my seat as Ella’s voice pierced the quiet room. I dropped my head as I heard her naked feet stomp on my ceramic floor. I refused to look up as I felt her presence stand in between me and Lee.
“No fair you both started to eat without me,” she whined as I heard her stomp her foot.
I looked up to see her pouting her bottom lip while she eyed Lee. He chuckled at her antics and raised his hand to caress her cheek. For a second her face relaxed and a soft smile graced her mouth.
She then turned to me and asked, “Are you done, Kimmie? We can go pick the movie while Lee cleans up.”
