Twenty-Four hours earlier…
I heard the birds chirp in the distance. Their high-pitch voices carried on the wind as the sun began to rise. The dawn of a new day.
A new day with her.
I could feel my body awaken as the thought rang in my head. I turned my head away from the warm rays of the sun and buried it in the pillow.
