I walked through the open doorway and stepped into the sunlight. I blinked as I adjusted to the sun’s brightness. I could easily view the green fields that stretched for miles as the sounds of the sea sounded in the air. A few clouds were scattered sparsely in the blue sky as the sun shined brightly. The view before me was picturesque. The perfect day. But my eyes landed on my car that awaited me on the asphalt. Lee was loading my luggage onto the backseat as Ella stood behind him watching. A cold sensation swept through me as I lifted my foot on the top step of the porch. Every step felt as if my foot was stepping on my heart. My chest heaved with every breath and wanted to collapse. I was angry at myself. Angry and beyond upset with my actions. But I couldn’t stop my feet from moving
