I awoke the next morning to the sound of thunder. I raised my head from the pillow to see grey skies and raindrops hitting my window. I pushed myself up to stretch my upper body as I glanced at the clock. It was mid-morning. I never slept in late since the weekends were the busiest times for events, so I was glad to get some extra rest. After returning from the ball, I was too exhausted to do much else. I had enough sense to put the gown away and remove my make-up, but I crashed on the bed in my underwear. My hair still styled. I could feel the bobby pins and hair ties making my head ache. At least my body was rested. It took me about thirty minutes to finally free my hair, then I placed it in a bun to shower. Once clean, I dressed in black leggings and a green hoodie.
