“A swim? Now?”
“Why not. There’s no one around so you don’t need to feel self-conscious. Plus we have a heated pool. Perfect for chilly nights.”
A part of me wanted to say no because it was night time and that's not what normal people did. But she was right. They had no neighbors to see us swimming in our bathing suits. Plus, was swimming at night that strange? I had already left to view the sunrise at the ocean's edge in the middle of the night after all.
“Sure, it could be fun,” I answered.
“Great! I hope you don’t mind but I did get you a swimsuit earlier today. I figured I could get some shopping in this morning. I know we talked a couple of days ago about them giving you gifts and I a sorry I wasn’t thinking straight,” she mumbled the last part as she avoided my eyes.
