VERA'S POV The car ride to Ashwood Pack was boring and quite uneventful. Unless of course, you counted Draven being glued to his phone as an event and something to talk about. He sat next to me, deep in conversation with someone who, judging by his tone, had apparently called with life-or-death matters, even though I still wasn't sure what exactly the problem was. I tuned him out, staring at the blur of trees rushing past the window as we drove. This trip wasn’t high on my list of things I wanted to do today, or ever for that matter. I wasn't a huge fan of stuff like this, or all the other stuff that comes with being mated to the wolf King. I wanted to die, but it wasn’t like I had much of a choice. Draven had asked nicely that I come along, and Ira hadn’t argued. She didn't seem to mind
