VERA'S POV. The nightmare gripped me like chains, dragging me deeper and deeper into its horrors. Shadows danced in the darkness, their forms bound by thick, rattling chains. Ghostly figures floated around me, their empty eyes locked onto mine, their mouths moving silently in an endless scream of torture and agony. In the center of the chaos stood a circle of hooded figures, their faces hidden by cloaks. Their hands reached out toward an orb of pulsating black energy, and they chanted in a language I couldn’t understand, each word echoing loudly in the air around me. I tried to wake up, but I couldn't. Somehow even while I was there I knew. I was aware of the situation and I knew it wasn't real, none of this was. I knew I was in a dream and I wanted so desperately to get out of it but
