Draven was shocked at my outburst. His eyes widened as he stared at me, clearly confused and concerned. He didn’t realize I had been talking to my wolf. Instead, he must have assumed it was directed at him, especially considering the situation on ground and his less than pleasant attitude from earlier today.
“What’s the matter?” he asked, his voice calm but filled with worry as he searched my eyes. "Is everything okay? Did I do something wrong?"
I quickly forced a smile as I shook my head, trying to ease his concern. “It’s not you, Draven. I was just talking to Ira." I reassured him. “Everything’s fine, I promise.”
“Are you sure?” he pressed, his brows furrowed deeply. “You don’t seem fine, Vera, what is it? You can tell me.”
