VERA'S POV I stormed out of the kitchen, anger boiling in my chest and tears streaming down my face. My steps were quick as I hurried down the hallway that looked too dark for my comfort even in the daylight. I needed to find Draven and tell him I was done—done with the tension, with stupid old friends and the suffocating feeling this pack has been giving me since the moment we arrived. I had to leave. I wanted to go home and forget this trip ever happened. But for some reason the hallway felt abnormally long this morning. The longer I walked, the longer it looked like I had to, and it was really starting to frustrate me even more than I already was after my encounter with the asshole.
