( Eleanor's POV) The doctor’s words hung in the air. She was taken, just like that. The word cracked something open in my chest. My world tilted. Tiffany was the only friend I had. The only person who’d been with me through thick and thin. Now wiped clean of her memory. And gone, just like that. I couldn’t breathe. I couldn’t think.
