So, I retract my hand from under her head. I have been sleeping better with her. I am sure she sleeps better as well but she’s too proud to say it out loud. She crawls deeper into my embrace as I try to get up, her eyebrows scrunched. Is she having a nightmare? I caress her cheeks and she feels rather warm to me. Maybe it is just because of my body heat. Strong mutants generally have a body heat comparable to that of werewolves
