As we drove back home, I couldn’t stop thinking about what I had seen at the festival. My mind kept circling back to Anna and Kaden. If she was truly cheating on him, why was he still with her?
And why was I so determined to get involved?
These weren’t my problems, and yet they felt like they were becoming mine.
The quiet hum of the car filled the air, broken only by Liam’s voice as he talked about the festival. He seemed to be in a good mood, his blue eyes occasionally glancing at me as he drove. “You know, you were pretty good on the dance floor tonight,” he said, smiling.
