Tick tick tick
The sound of the clock is all that I hear in this room. I’m hiding from the evil, it haunts me everywhere I go.
There’s no escape, it always finds me. This evil watches from afar, taunting me like a cat to a mouse. It knows I will never escape, it follows me even to the places I believe to be safe. Tragedy follows, and it haunts my knowing I am the one who caused this.
Like the fallen angel he is, he watches with a grin on his face. His laugh is menacing, it would even make a deaf man scream.
His eyes are the purest shade of red, colored by the blood of his victims, and I am next. My whole life I was reckless which led me here, to this fate, to meet my early death. I have many regrets and they will all come after me soon. I have caused my own demise and now I can not escape.
I watch him close in, the white walls of the room darkening, the ticking sound of the clock grows louder until it stops, the red of his eyes grow brighter, and I know I am done. As he reaches out to get me he morphs, now he looks the part of the devil, he was more terrifying than anything seen in books. His claw like hands grab my ankles and pull me down the cracking ground. I fell through the flames letting the burning sensation cover my skin.
The burning warmth turned into flesh melting pain, it was a pain like no other and all he did was laugh. My body I once cherished was ruined and I couldn’t stop it.
My burned body hit the hard rocky ground, I looked nothing more than just a burnt corpse destined to repeat this death until the end of times.
If only I would have listened to my mother
If only I would have listened to the countless warnings
If only I wasn’t selfish
And if only I hadn’t gone to those crossroads
If only I hadn’t sold my soul to the devil.
