Kate shuddered. Yes, the vision had ended before things could get too explicit, but she had no doubt as to what had happened next. And why hadn’t the new prima fought back? Kate knew if she’d been placed in similar horrifying circumstances, she would have clawed and kicked and done everything she could to keep herself from being taken by the monster who’d just killed her husband.
