Chapter Twelve
Nora sat at the dressing table brushing out her hair while Thad undressed behind her. “I’m worried about Lucy,” she admitted. “It’s been three days since she’s been to any of the meals with the rest of us.”
“The doctor has things well in hand,” Thad told her.
The hairbrush was set aside as Nora turned in her seat, “You’ve seen her?”
“This afternoon, yes. The doctor is taking care of things. I’m assured she’ll be part of the hunting party tomorrow morning. You can see her then. Maybe even talk to her if her Master permits it.”
Nora turned all the way around on the bench seat, “Is she happy?”
