Chapter 3

"Please don't tell me you are talking about her Lucas." Ben looked scared. Before he could respond, Ben cut him off. "Does she have a cold aurora about her? and when she walks down the street she doesn't talk to anyone, right? And a lot of man catcalls her?" "Yes, sounds about it, so her name is Olivia." as he was testing it out. No name sounded as beautiful as hers. Even her name drew him to her.Ben brought him out of his thought revenue "Lucas you better stay away from her, she will take you to hell with her."He looked at him and sighed."Look, Lucas, I love you like a brother, that's why I'm warning you about her. That girl is all kinds of trouble, she doesn't have a soul, and if she does have one then her soul is an endless dark void." as he tried to persuade him. "And lastly if you have to know, she is a prostitute, she is not even worth much. If you want to get her out of your system you can go and have some fun with her and then you forget about her. Go to the corner of Donovan at ten in the evening and you can see her there." Lucas couldn't answer Ben, as his mind was churning with all this information that he had received. What could have made such a beautiful girl do such an occupation? And why did he think that she was the one?He looked over at Ben as he got up, "I better be heading back, I didn't come with my car, and I need to head home." "You know you could have stayed over Lucas." "I know, but next time," he responded solemnly. Lucas put on his coat, and Ben lead him towards the door. He hugged him and went down the stairs and the road."Lucas!" he turned around. "I mean forget about her, she is not worth it."He nodded and walked down the road, there weren't many people. Lucas walked down to the station and got into the train and headed back home. It was a thirty-minute train ride. Which he liked as it gave him time to think. He got home in Queens-town. He got into his apartment and immediately went to his room and changed into his cotton pajamas and sunk into his silk-covered sheets. Lucas started thinking about today's events and a lot had happened. He met a girl who had moved his heart, for the first time in his life. Yet Ben's warning came playing in his head too.He finally fell asleep. It had been a week and he had immersed myself in my work, yet he couldn't forget the cold white-headed girl. Her posture and acceptance of being called vulgar names and not once she retorted anything. Now he understood why men called her vulgar names because she was well-known. The toughness she must have to not care what people thought about. He wondered if it didn't bother her.He longed to see her face again. Lucas raked a hand through his hair. The painting was his escape, yet he wasn't inspired and now it became more of a burden as nothing came naturally to him anymore. A drive would do him good. He got into his car and drove with the window open and the wind blew and numbed his face. He kept driving and driving. It was ten at night and they were standing by their usual spot. "Kho tries to be early today, don't be late please." Khloe gave her a sarcastic look "I will try just for you Liv." as she winked at her."Here comes a car Liv." She went to the window and it rolled down, "want to go around the corner?" "Um Yes." the guy, seemed to answer as if he was unsure.Olivia got in his car, and she had never seen him before in her life, he had white hair and striking blue eyes.
