The Second Chapter

315 Words
The boring part is starting off the adventure itself. It’s the whole setup that’s not really that fun. The point of an adventure is to be on the adventure, so that is where this adventure starts. The lonely hero girl is with her band of adventurers, off to adventure the great wide open. These particular adventurers were a mix of dwarves and men, of course. They’d be all dwarves, but that’s been done before, and they’d be all men, but that’s awfully boring. The girl in this group was there because she happened to have the abilities to be unseen. Not invisible, of course, but unseen. Unseen is when someone just walks around and no one sees that they’re even there. It’s like when someone’s at a party for hours but they’re always asked when they got there, because no one remembers seeing them arrive. It’s like.... well, it’s not important what it’s like. It’s an offset of being a lonely person no one ever cares to be around. Sad, but somehow effective, if used in the right circumstances. So this unseen girl was there to sneak the party into places they shouldn’t be. Or out. And that was the only reason. So it’s fair to say that that would be the reason she always seemed to lag behind the group, and was never noticed when she lagged a bit too far behind. Which was good in certain circumstances. For example, when riding into the realm of one very hot and demeaning elven king. All elven kings must be very hot. It’s simple rule of most fantasies, and is definitely a rule of romance. His hotness being mentioned, of course, for being the obvious male love interest. While the group enters the land as a rest stop on their quest to wherever, this lagging behind guest is caught lagging behind by the hottest of hosts.
