“Who is he?” The sudden voice right behind me made me yelp and twist around. I saw Jake sitting there against the wall, right across from my door. His eyes were bloodshot as they drilled into me, and his beard made him look rough. If I hadn’t known his face so well and the expressions it made, he would’ve been scary. He was wearing the same clothes except with no hat; greasy locks of hair escaped a messy ponytail to fall against his face.
