“Lenore? Why are you climbing through the window? And where in heaven’s name are your clothes?” I looked up with wide eyes at my mother standing in the doorway. She looked completely shocked as she stared at me, her keys still in the lock of my apartment door. “I-I couldn’t sleep?” I offered, blushing hard. Shutting the window behind me, I locked it.
