When Eli and I walked in, we were immediately overwhelmed with the scents of freshly roasted meat, warm fall spices, and onion. Dinner was being made. "It smells amazing in here," I commented to Eli, who was hanging his wet and snowy jacket on the coat rack. "Yes, I can only imagine what they're cooking here, Ivy, give me your coat." I handed Eli my thick wool trenchcoat and watched him place it neatly on the rack.
