Shocked at his statement, I opened my mouth,
"What do you mean by that?" I asked him.
"I thought you died in your sleep." He snapped at me.
I stared at him in utter disbelief,
"Why would you say such a thing?" I asked, pained at the hurtful words he was saying to me.
"If it was not that you had died in your sleep, how would you explain this." He asked me, pointing at the dismantled alarm clock on the floor.
It was then that I realized what was going on and why he was being so dramatic. I had set the alarm but I didn't hear it ring and it woke him up instead, leaving him so cranky and angry.
"I'm sorry, I didn't know that the alarm was still set for 4am." I apologized.
