“Aww sweetie,” Lexi cooed as she made her way towards us. Leo and I were talking to the coach when our parents approached.
“ Hey mum,” Leo said excitedly as he leaned to give her mother a kiss on her cheek.
“Buddy,” my dad exclaimed excitedly as he came to give me a hug.
“ I always knew that you would make me proud,” he continued, his tone laced with pride and adoration.
We exchanged a few words with them, then, we proceeded to the boys locker room.
Inside the locker room, the boys were chatting excitedly as I entered, they stood up and clapped their hands in appreciation.
“Good game out there Matthews, you too Adams,” coach Brandon began, “ I always had faith in you,” he continued in an excited tone. “You did it, you have made a legacy,” his words made my heart skip a bit.
