Gnawing on the python’s carcass, the feral dogs sensed something amiss and turned in our direction. The pack of dogs bared their fangs and stuck out their drooling tongues. The visual effects, coupled with howling and barking, were quite intimidating.
“F-Flynn, what do we do now?”
I could feel the numbing tingle under my skin. I was at my limit after the battle with the python, and even if I still had more than an ounce of strength in me, I had no way to deal with this many feral dogs.
“Don’t panic. I’m here.”
Despite my numbness, I had to remain calm in front of the girls. Otherwise, they would go off the rails. I was their pillar of strength, so it could be catastrophic if I came apart.
Standing by my side, the girls tried to keep it together while clenching their “weapons”.
