Thirty minutes into a video game Rion had convinced her to play with him, Ravyn decided she indeed wanted to have that talk Sebastian suggested. Still not convinced, she blamed it on the fact that she kept losing to her brother. She hated losing. So when a knock pounded on the door, and she opened it to see Calvin, it was like the universe’s way of telling her to go for it. Rion would finally have a worthy opponent, and she’d get the closure she so desperately craved. After exchanging pleasantries, she hurried up to her room, promising to be back down soon to take on Calvin in the next game. Immediately she closed the door shut behind, her heart leapt. It wasn’t until she was alone that the possibilities of how the phone call could go came flooding in. What if he wants to reject me?
