5: It was Never Gonna Happen, But...

2246 Words
Kyle's POV James is so determined. "James, pleeeeeasee... he doesn't have to know..." I whine, trying to convince him "He does. He is your instructor, and he has every right to know about it. Besides, I promised him," James replies, sounding deadly serious. Shai looks as desparate to stop him as I am. "But.. he will murder us!" If I hear even a single complaint from Agent Emerson or any other instructor when I come back... Ryan left us to finish that sentence but we ALL know what that means, right? "Good. That will remind you NEVER to act the way you did, " he says, c*****g a brow. Crap, James, you and Ryan, why do you have to be so ... so ... s**t, I can't even find a word to describe you. "James, but -" Shai whines, but he stops her with an annoyed look. "I will tell him that I already punished you. But he is your instructor and if he decides to punish you, well, I can't do anything about it," he says without a sympathy in his voice. He even has this little smirk tugged at the corner of his lips, which by the way is super annoying! We look at him with puppy eyes, and I take a chance to strike a deal with him. "Then at least tell Ryan that you gave us the cane or something ... please?" A deep frown appears in his forehead. Uh-oh. "Are you asking me to lie, Mr Daley?" he asks, his mood suddenly all too serious. Wait what? That's not what I meant! "N-no!" I stammer, careful not to push him. That little s******g he gave to us - well it wasn't really LITTLE it hurt like hell even though he only used his hand- sure made me think twice before saying ANYTHING to James. "Then?" he raises an eyebrow. "Well... Ryan is pretty strict, as you know ... and I just kinda thought that he'd go easy on us if you tell him that we were punished hard ... and that he doesn't need to go hard on us..." I say carefully, examining his facial expression while I speak. "So you are telling me to lie, to get you out of trouble?" he hisses through his gritted teeth. Oh no. I think I ticked him off. I pull my gaze away from him. "Sorry. Forget about what I said," I say, hoping that he would drop the subject. "Mmm," he nodded. ----------a week later-------- For the first time in like forever, I wake up earlier then I used to for the past three weeks. Ryan and Irene came back from the field last night around 2300 hrs, and he insisted that he resume instructing us without taking any more break. Which isn't really a good news for any of us, since we know that lack of sleep puts him in super cranky mood. Oh and on top of that, we also have a cranky Irene too. So who knows that what the hell he will do if we are late, and when he hears about our little trouble with James. Better stay off his radar today. Exactly seventeen minutes later, I move into the classroom with Shai by my side. No one is there as expected. Ryan and Irene are the type who shows up right on time. Not a second later not a second earlier. "Do you think James did?" Shai asks, nervousness creeping into her voice. I don't need to ask to know what that 'did' means. I silently nod my head. "The real question is this , though: Do you think Ryan's gonna?" She thinks for a moment. "I don't know honestly. But my bet is on yes." Yeah, that's what I thought too. We wait for Ryan and Irene quietly in the classroom, millions of scenarios running through my head. What's gonna happen? Like, he is going to be super hyper pissed? Probably. At last the door opens to reveal Ryan and Irene ... and surprisingly, neither of them have this cold icy state they give us every time they are pissed off at us. "Morning, guys, " they say, sounding a little tired. Well, I can't blame them. I don't know what they had to do in the field, but I am sure it wasn't sun tanning in the beach, drinking fruit punch and reading a book. "Welcome back, bro," I greet him, trying to figure out his mood. "Irene," I say, tapping an imaginary hat in respect. They simply nod and take their seats. "So," Ryan begins. God, help me. I know for a fact that he is gonna bring up that incident. "How was your time with James?" Shai and I look at each other. "Um... funny story ..." she begins. "Oh really?" Ryan raises an eyebrow. "Care to tell me what part of disrespecting James and not accepting his authority is funny?" Shai looks like she was about to say something ... something insane and crazy that would definitely get Ryan to grab the cane immediately. I always notice it when she and her 'rebellious innate' begins to spark. I quickly jump in before she can say anything. "Sorry, sir. It wasn't funny." "It is not, indeed. Your actions during my absence were completely unacceptable. Do you remember what I said about hearing complains from James?" he says in a low voice that chills me. "Yes, I- " I begin, but Shai cuts me off- cuts everyone off. "Holy s**t! We were already f*****g punished for that! Do you have to bring this matter up again? Oh, wait, OF COURSE YOI f*****g DO! Because you're one little f*****g son of a b***h! f**k I HATE YOU AND YOUR LITTLE f*****g CANE!" She screams and bolts out of the room ... leaving everyone dumbfounded, except Irene. She springs onto her feet immediately and chase after her. I blink a few times, trying to process what the hell just happened. She didn't just say all that to Ryan. Please someone tell me that she didn't say that. Holy crap, is this girl a suicide or something? I take a quick glance at Ryan. His gaze is fixed on the door where Irene just ran out to get Shai. His lips are pressed in a thin line .. oh no. This can't be good. Shai, why did you do that? I wait nervously for them to come back. Shari's gonna get it. If Ryan wasn't upset before, he definitely is now.. ----- three minutes later ------ Ryan's pov Finally Irene comes back into the room with Shai at her side. She's gripping Shai's wrist tightly, lest she decides to throw another fir. Although from the looks of it, she's already regretting what she said. But what she did cannot be undone. I don't know what had gotten into her head. I wasn't even planning on lecturing them for long, let alone s***k them. James already told me he gave them the ruler. I never had any intention to punish them again - James took care of it, taught them the lesson, so why should I do it again? I hate s******g anyone. As much as I understand why it's sometimes needed, I hate inflicting pain on someone. I absolutely hate it. I'd like to avoid it as much as I can. I take a deep breath, calming myself down. Well, I'm not even that upset - I kinda find this situation amusing a little. She totally thought I was going to s***k her and had ... shall I say, a nervous breakdown. A teenager as she is, she is going through an emotional phase, and it's not like I haven't been through it before, so I should be as understanding as possible. But what she did calls for a punishment, that's for sure. Irene closes the door behind her, and only then she let go of Shai's wrist. "Thank you," I say to Irene. That's ma sista! She nods in response. I turn my attention to Shai, who is now looking sorry as ever. I don't know if Irene said something to her or if she got her senses back the second she ran out, but I don't think I EVER saw her looking This Sorry! "Shai-Lyn Cypress," I say firmly. She mumbles a yes, sir. "I hope you realise hoe awful and unacceptable that show you put on just a little while ago." "Yes, sir, I do," she answers quietly. "I'm sorry." "I bet you are. But you and I both know it too well- sorry doesn't always cut it." I pause for a moment, waiting for the words to sink in. "Let's get this over with. Bend over the desk." She complies without any complain. I go around my desk, open the drawer and look down at the implements. A few smacks with the wooden ruler will do, since she was really sorry and I know for a fact that she had a panic attack when she assumed that I was going to give her the cane - in any other circumstance, I would definitely give her the cane. She clenches her jaw when she seed the ruler in my hand. This piece of wood doesn't seem like much, but it is an evil, EVIL implement. It stings much more than the paddle if administered correctly. I've gotten the ruler countless times when I was her age... "Now a question, Cypress: how many hits do you think you deserve for throwing me a fit like that and cussing and running away?" I ask "Um, ... five?" she answers hopefully. Yeah, not gonna happen. "I was actually thinking around fifteen, but I'll catch you up with twelve," I say, placing the ruler on her behind. "Just for the record, I was never going to s***k you. I wasn't even thinking of giving you a lecture ... I know James punished you already." If she is kicking herself internally, she doesn't show it. She remains unflinching and silent. I take that she's ready, and raise my arm. Then... SMACK I see her muscles tense up. "I wasn't going to punish you, but you decided to let your emotions take the best of you, and look where it got you. SMACK No matter the circumstance, you are NOT to throw a tantrum like that and cuss at people SMACK let alone run away from your problem SMACK." "Owww yes, sir." "You know I don't like doing this SMACK so what made you think I was going to s***k you? SMACK" "Oww, I don't know, sir. I honestly don't. I kinda lost it." I raise an eyebrow. "I noticed that. SMACK SMACK" She whimpers on the desk after each smack. It breaks my heart to see her in pain like that. Better get over it quickly. "Alright. Last five. Count them out for me," I say, and she nods quickly. SMACK "Ow, One sir" SMACK "T-two sir" SMACK "Th-ow-three sir!" SMACK "Owwww.. Four, sir" I clutch the ruler tightly as I can, wanting to drive the message home. "I cannot believe the number of cuss words you used in those five sentences. YOU WILL NOT CUSS. YOU WILL NOT give me an attitude and speak to me like that. I respect you, and I don't see a reason why you shouldn't respect me back. Got it?" "Yes, sir." I raise my arm up againz and aim for her upper thighs. SMACK "OWWWWW! F-five! Five, sir!" Yep. Thighs. Hurt. I drop the ruler on the desk, and help her up on her feet. Surprisingly she is the one who hugs me first- it's not always you have a guy who you just s*****d comes and hugs you first. I wrap her in my arms tightly. "I'm sorry, Ryan," she mumbles into my chest. "It's okay. You are forgiven." Then I chuckle softly. "Seriously though, what gave you the idea that I was gonna s***k you?" She sniffles, and pulls away. "I don't know... you said if you hear a single complain from James and/or any other instructors..." I smile a little. "But I didn't finish my sentence, did I?" "No... but still!" she whines. Ugh, she's such a kid. "Alright, alright. You win. But, that little stunt you pulled was NOT Acceptable." "I know. I am sorry. I shouldn't have talked to you that way. I didn't mean anything I said, I swear," she says, and then grins a little. She kinda looks like a little cutie devil and I can't help but smile back. "Although you are a little son of a b***h when you are holding a cane." "Hey!" I warn her, landing three hard smacks on her sit spots She jumps and looks at me wide-eyed, rubbing her behind. "Moderate your language or next time it won't be my hand," I add firmly. She gives me a 'really' look, but I ignore it. "I seriously don't know what gets into your head sometimes, girl," I say, laughing a little. "That little show was actually quite amusing." "Not funny at all, Ryan," she growls. Indeed, it isn't. ----------A/N-------- Okay, okay. You s***k fic fans, calm down. I know this chapter was a little lame and so was the last chapter, but I thought I'd give Shai and Kyle a little break from hard core spankings since they're about to ... hmmm... you know this and that...!!! :D
