Chapter 25Drew We stood at the bar of the Battered Cruiser, waiting our turn to be served. It was a dimly lit pub, and Da’ had insisted it was the place we needed to go, although at that time of day, it was still fairly empty. In a couple of hours, however, business would be booming. Its location down by the docks insured its clientele were not only men who had been to sea and were on land for the first time in weeks or months, but also the seediest-looking specimens of land rats I had ever seen.
